Lello Artisan Pasta's Gnocchi Sardi are a love letter to one of Italy's most characterful pasta shapes. These small, ridged, shell-like pieces — named after the island of Sardinia where they originate — are handmade in Melbourne using 100% Australian durum semolina and nothing else. No eggs, no additives, just flour, salt, and craft.
Their distinctive grooves and hollow slit aren't just beautiful — they're functional, designed to trap and hold hearty sauces in every crevice so that every bite is fully loaded with flavour.
Sauce it with:
- A slow-braised lamb or pork ragù — the classic Sardinian pairing
- Rich sausage and fennel sugo with a handful of pecorino
- Roasted cherry tomato and basil with good olive oil
- Creamy pancetta and pea with a splash of white wine
- Pesto genovese with green beans and potato for a Ligurian twist
