What makes these stand out
The pork and veal blend is the gold standard for meatballs: pork fat keeps them moist, veal adds delicacy, the combination produces a lighter, more tender texture than pure beef. They hold together well in sauce without becoming dense.
How to Cook
The key is: brown first, finish in sauce
Pan Sear + Simmer (Best): Heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook meatballs in batches, turning to brown all sides — 3–4 minutes. Add tomato sauce and simmer on low for 10–15 minutes.
Oven: Preheat to 200°C. Bake for 18–20 minutes, turning halfway. Internal temp 75°C.
Air Fryer: 180°C for 12–14 minutes, shaking halfway.
Pro Tips
- Brown before adding to sauce — builds flavour and seals the exterior
- Don't overcrowd the pan — they'll steam instead of brown
- Finishing in sauce keeps them moist
- They reheat beautifully in sauce the next day
