Australian Italian Style Fennel Pork Sausage (Frozen)

A sausage with real character. Fennel is the ingredient that defines Italian sausage — sweet, aromatic and slightly anise-like, it transforms a simple pork sausage into something with genuine depth and personality. On the BBQ it’s a crowd-pleaser. Crumbled into a pasta sauce it’s a weeknight staple. Sliced onto a pizza it’s a revelation.

8 sausages per pack | 450g. Frozen at peak freshness.

Product Highlights

  • Australian pork with Italian-style fennel seasoning
  • 8 sausages per pack, 450g — ideal for 3–4 people
  • Incredibly versatile — BBQ, pan, pasta, pizza or slow braise
  • Fennel blooms beautifully in tomato-based sauces
  • Frozen at peak freshness to lock in quality

Suggested Preparation

BBQ or Pan (Whole): Medium heat, 12–15 minutes turning regularly. Do not pierce — keeps the juices in. Internal temp 75°C. Rest 2–3 minutes before serving.

Pasta Ragu (Crumbled): Remove the casing and crumble into a hot pan with olive oil. Brown well, then add garlic, chilli flakes and tinned tomatoes. Simmer 20–30 minutes and toss through pasta with parmesan — a classic Italian weeknight dinner.

Oven: 190°C for 20–25 minutes, turning once.

Perfect Wine Pairing

The aromatic fennel and savoury pork in these sausages pair beautifully with the 2024 Greywacke Kevin Judd Pinot Gris — a textured, aromatic white with the body and spice notes to complement fennel-forward dishes. Order it from My Wine Man to complete the meal.
